Joe Maranto

From a very young age, Joe realized he had a talent in art.  As a young boy attending school in Shreveport, LA, he received many awards for artwork.  He studied and read books on all forms of art techniques; his artwork shows a great amount of detail.  He combines pen and ink techniques with watercolors in many of his paintings.
His career in art became significantly active after his wife's death in 2003.
Joe has illustrated two books of poems that were written by Mary Craig and published.
His works include a series of pen and ink and watercolor paintings of the U.S. Capitol, The White House, Manassas Battlefield, wildlife,and animals.  His paintings are available as prints. 
His future works will include a series of paintings that will focus around the history and cultures of Williamsburg, VA.
Joe resides in Gainesville, VA and Williamsburg,VA.
